RTC could mean Richmond Tank Car, but those dimples pressed into the side sheets suggest Trinity.

Do you know what Dow hauled in them? Thanks for the leads. I posted another ex DOWX hopper that became an ITGX Sugar Beet car.

Perhaps they shipped salt to their chlor-alkali plants in them. I know Olin's plant in Henderson, NV receives salt in open top hoppers.
